Meanwhile Back at the Ranch

The Wildflowers Down on the Ranch this Year!

I had fun taking pics of the wildflowers on our farm last time I was down there, and wanted to share them with you!

This one has a lady bug on it, which I did not realize until I got home and was looking through my pics on my computer. Very cool.

Daisies were everywhere…

And the cactus were in bloom. Often our cactus bloom purple, but for whatever reason, they are yellow this year.

I have a love/hate relationship with our cactus but am feeling forgiving of them right now because of their flowers.

More blooms. Blooms blooms everywhere.

Is there anything more picturesque than poppies and daisies on the edge of a wheat field?

Possibly. Nature always comes up with new ways to be picturesque. Every time you think you’ve captured the best sunset, the next time you look up, there is another one to beat it. Every time I locate the prettiest poppy on our farm, I find another one cropping up.

Oh nature, you keep life interesting.

Hope y’all have a floral Spring too.

Those yellow cactus blossoms are the famous “Yellow Roses of Texas.” They come with a prickly price. – Nice photos of many kinds of flowers and landscape. – Good job on your website and blogs, Whit.
